Graham hasn’t had enough sledding

March 28, 2010 – 7:29 pm

Graham’s favorite word these days is “outside”. He can’t get enough time outside. He also clearly isn’t satisfied with the amount of sledding over the winter. He’s resourceful, though. He tried using the regular sled first, but when that didn’t work he found another way. No need for a sled, or snow…

NYC visit

February 11, 2010 – 9:11 pm

So much fun to see everone, to walk in the park, eat yummy food…and Lil’ G was completely adorable and charming.  Miss you all! Love, Tate

Christmas 2009

December 27, 2009 – 9:20 pm

Christmas was in Auburn with the Knaul side of the family this year. My mom was especially excited to have both grandchildren together for the holiday. Pictures are below. A full resolution version of the family portrait is also available.

First snow of the season

December 23, 2009 – 12:42 pm

Graham did go out in the snow once or twice last winter, but as a 6 month old, he was pretty much oblivious to it. So with the first significant snow of the 2009 – 2010 season, he had his first real chance to explore snow.

Thanksgiving in Asheville

December 23, 2009 – 12:38 pm

We spent Thanksgiving in Asheville, NC visiting Regen’s parents. It was a long overdue visit; we hadn’t been there in 5 years. Other than the flight back to Connecticut, it was a fun, relaxing trip. We stayed in Anna and Bruce’s neighbor’s house, where Graham enjoyed taking care of their dog. We also visited the Western North Carolina Nature Center. Graham loved the doggies (wolves and foxes) and had fun petting the sheep and goats.

Here are some pictures…

Scary Skeleton Graham

November 5, 2009 – 10:51 pm

Graham dressed up as a skeleton this year for Halloween. He enjoyed being in costume on Friday the 30th at daycare, but was out for the night before our one trick-or-treater arrived. Our driveway is quite a deterrent, and the downed power lines down the street didn’t help. More candy for us!

Early fall hike

November 5, 2009 – 10:46 pm

Here are some pictures from a hike we took at the Equinox Preservation Land Trust in Manchester, Vt. We were there in early September for the wedding of our friends, Beth and Kurt.

Some more pics to add to the bunch…it was a lot of fun spending time with everyone! – Tatum

Labor Day at the Cape

September 10, 2009 – 3:57 pm

We just got back from a get together for Regen’s side of the family. Anna and Bruce rented a great place in Eastham, Mass, on the outer leg of Cape Cod. The weather was a little cool, but dry, so we had a good mix of time at the beach and other activities.

I took out the kayak for a paddle around the salt marsh on the ocean side of Eastham on Tuesday morning. Shifting sand bars prevented me from doing the full loop that I had planned, but it was still a fun 6 or so miles. See the attached map… there was a 20 ft high sand dune blocking the entrance to the yellow route at the ocean. (Maps from a year ago also have that inlet a mile south.) Maybe one of the recent hurricanes?

So on to what most of you care about – the pictures.  There are a bunch of everyone, including Graham.  I also got a lot of good shots of the local wildlife while paddling, on a hike we took to see some seals, and at the Audubon center in Wellfleet.

Summer travels

August 22, 2009 – 6:09 pm

We spent the fourth of July in Vermont with Tatum and Koushik. Graham wasn’t ready to stay up for the fireworks, but despite that and some rain, we had a great time.

Next up was a trip to Auburn at the beginning of August. By good chance, we, KT and Tim, and Howie and Katie were all there at once. Howie broke the Laser (twice), but the babies had fun playing together and everyone enjoyed the lake.

Finally, back at home, Graham’s top front teeth are finally coming in, so he had his first try of corn on the cob.

Some new pictures

June 22, 2009 – 9:41 pm

No big milestones this time, just some pictures of the day to day life of Mr. G.

He has made significant strides (ha-ha) toward walking. He’s not quite to the point of walking unassisted, but he is doing pretty well at pushing his wagon. I’ll try to get some video of that soon…

One year old! (almost)

May 31, 2009 – 6:10 pm

Graham celebrated his first birthday today, a couple of days early.  We had a lot of family and friends over for a cookout in the back yard.  The thunderstorms held off, and everyone (including a lot of other babies) had a good time.

Here are a few pictures and a video of Mr. G’s first experience with birthday cake.
