Here are some pictures from a hike we took in nearby Day Pond State Park in April.
Then a couple from the trip Graham and Regen took to Asheville in May, followed by some from Graham’s 4th birthday in June. Then some pictures of our new dog Max, Graham at the New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks, CT, and more evidence that the little guy loves ice cream (and now, chicken wings).

Here’s a video of Graham dancing to some street music in Asheville. Regen says that this was actually the end of a much longer performance.

Florida vacation

Early summer 2011

A combination of things in this post… First are a couple pictures of Graham helping me blow out candles on my birthday cake. (He improved in the couple of weeks since his birthday.)

Next are a bunch of pictures from our trip to Auburn later in the month. The event was a baby shower for Katie (and Howie). Kate and Zoe and Tess also came, so the 3 year olds had a great time playing together.

A few boats…

I took Graham to the wooden boat show at the Mystic Seaport last weekend. The video and photo galleries at the site above give a great summary of the show. So in the spirit of wooden boats, here are some pictures from the KCraft archives. Going to the show has me thinking about what to build next (after finishing the bookshelves in the home office).

In the gallery below, pictures start with the 10.5 ft plywood on frame boat that I built with help from Kevin Klink and Eric Simone over the course of a few weeks during a rainy summer during high school. That success made me a little overconfident, I think, since next up was a 16 ft power catamaran of my own design, patterned roughly after a 100+ mph real power catamaran at the house next to the OYC. Eric and I spent a lot of time on it over the next couple of years, including completely rebuilding a 70hp outboard that was scrapped after running without oil. Finally, there are shots of the Guillemot strip-built kayak I did a few years ago.
