A no-kid vacation to Block Island
August 20, 2010 – 10:18 amGrandma and Grandpa Knaul came to watch Graham for a couple of days while Regen and I took a short mid-week trip to Block Island. We had great weather – a little cloudy but warm for some beach time on Wednesday after arriving on the ferry. On Thursday, I got up early to take some pictures, then we rented bikes to tour the island. We ended up covering most of the island, starting with the Old Harbor area where we stayed, down to the Mohegan Bluffs and the Southeast Light, then up to the New Harbor area, and all the way up to Settler’s Rock at the north end of the island before heading back to drop off the bikes. Then it was lunch, some more time at the beach, and the boat home.

(Computer glitzed and erased kudos.)..am probably repeating myself, but your photographs are postale-card worthy, David..sunrise at the beach – the ladybug – all truly captured the quiet beauty of Block Island – what fun you kiddos must have had biking.. (All brought back fond memories, thank U, of our brief stay, eons ago. Herb and I toured in our ‘Barracuda.’) convertible…xxxs, B
